Shady woods was the perfect retreat for my family. We loved the peaceful location. If you are lucky you can hear the chimps from the nearby sanctuary from the deck. We had everything we needed. Jessica made the stay feel like home. We hope to be back one day!

We loved our stay! The family suite made it so easy with the kids, and having both a crib and pack play, plus 2 high chairs was a lifesaver. The cabin felt private but was just minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Super clean, cozy, and the fire pit and hot tub were the perfect way to end each night.

Beautiful and spacious home, very clean with all the comforts of home! Beautiful property and surroundings, so peaceful! Loved the outdoor fireplace and a cozy fire pit area! Highly recommend this host and this property is well worth your visit!

We loved staying at this cabin! In the woods, but still a close drive to town. The cabin had plenty to keep us busy in the evenings as well. The assortment of games, the DVD projector (bring your favs for the ultimate experience!) and the hot tub were our personal favorites! The cabin was clean and cozy and the host is very responsive to messages and very friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This was our first cabin experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabin is very well equipped, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family getaway. Jessica is a great host and truly did her best to make our stay perfect. We also enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, and even our Labrador felt right at home. Highly recommended!

What an amazing home! Off the grid and 100% peaceful and beautiful. Deer were everywhere! This was the perfect place to find peace and serinty! Jessica made sure we were happy and didn't need anything on our stay. Home was huge and had everything we needed! We can not wait to go back! We brought our whole family up here and this place was perfect for us. The cabin was super clean, really comfortable, and very convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out together but also space to spread out when we needed it. Plus, we had everything we could need for the kids which was great because we didn’t have to pack our whole house to come stay for the weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. The kids loved the games and books. We loved the fire pit area and hot tub. The host made everything easy with clear directions and quick replies. We’d definitely come back again. If you’re looking for a place where the whole family can relax and enjoy time together, this is it.

This was the first trip me and my husband took with both of our dogs to get away from the busy routine of city life. Jessica’s home was just perfect! From the pictures, to amenities, to having an extra set of pup bowls, bed, crate, hot tub, grill, games, fire pit and s’more nights also ;) The web-based guidebook she put together with recommendations, instructions, videos was just outstanding and easy to follow. Her house was a home to us and we had an amazing time. We did as much or little as we wanted and our dogs were so curious of the new surroundings. We would definitely love to be back again. Jessica was also amazing at responding on chats. Thank you again for such a wonderful house and a wonderful experience.
